•    Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College followed by MCPS in Internal Medicine from BCPS and MD in Chest Diseases from NIDCH.
•    He joined Bangladesh Health Service in 1997 after passing BCS examination. From 2002 till 2009 he worked as a registrar of respiratory medicine at NIDCH and from 2009 till 2013 he served as an Assistant Professor, Respiratory Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal. He joined Apollo Hospital Dhaka on September 2013 as Consultant – Respiratory Medicine and was promoted to Senior Consultant in 2017.
•    He was honoured with FCCP from the American College of Chest Physicians in 2006 and received the APSR Award in 2009. He went for a short Fellowship in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at National University Hospital, Singapore.
•    Dr. Mamun was a faculty in different Chest Congresses of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is currently the Global Governor of ACCP from Bangladesh.
•    In 2012, he completed Board Review Course of the ACCP from Arizona, USA. He also attended two training programmes in Vienna and Barcelona.
•    Dr. Mamun is an expert in Fibro Optic Bronchoscopy and Lung Function Test, and his research focus was on Bronchial Asthma. He has performed more than 6,000 Fibrotic Bronchoscopies in the last 15 years at home and abroad.
•    Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun has numerous publications in various national and international journals. One of his book on Bronchial Asthma has been published from Lap Lambert Publisher of Germany.
•    Prior to joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun was working at Square Hospital, Dhaka as Senior Consultant & Coordinator in the Department of Respiratory Medicine.
•    He was recently elected as an Honorary EC Member of the Council of Global Governor Committee of the ACCP for the session (2022-2023). He is a core member of the COPD assembly of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology and an active member of the European Respiratory Society Airway Network.
•    During the Covid-19 epidemic, six of his Covid-19 research papers were published in journals. He is renowned for the treatment and research of Post-Covid Lung Fibrosis.
•    He has been regularly attending awareness programmes on Covid-19 on various TV channels and social media platforms in Bangladesh.
