Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman Howlader

Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman Howlader completed his MBBS from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College in 1989 and obtained his MS in Orthopaedics from the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in 2000.
He has received advanced orthopaedic training in several countries including India, Bangkok, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, and Italy, gaining exposure to modern surgical techniques and global best practices.
He served as Consultant Surgeon General, Bangladesh Armed Forces (2023–2026). Previously, he worked as Professor & Head of Orthopaedics at CMH Dhaka and CMH Chattogram, CMH Jessore, and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Dhaka.
Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Md Anisur Rahman Howlader is expert in all types of joint replacement surgery of knee, hip and shoulder. In addition to general orthopaedics and trauma, he is equally expert in all ligament surgery of knee and shoulder by Arthroscopy.
He is the President of the Shoulder Society of Bangladesh, Treasurer of the Bangladesh Arthroplasty Society, and Vice President of the Bangladesh Arthroscopy Society, as well as an active member of ISAKOS and a life member of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society.
He has numerous publications in national and international journals, and has presented papers at conferences while participating in workshops and academic programs at home and abroad.
