Free Health Camp of Evercare Hospital Dhaka Held at Narsingdi

The Department of Paediatric Cardiology from Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the first JCI-accredited hospital in the country, conducted a 2 days long free medical camp to provide lifesaving cardiac treatment to paediatric patients of Narshingdi and nearby areas. This initiative is a part of Evercare Hospital Dhaka's commitment to ensuring world-class medical care to children of all backgrounds in need.

The 2 days long free medical camp was held at Bhaterchar Government Primary School, Belabo, Narshingdi on 28 & 29 November 2025. The health camp was graced by the presence of esteemed medical professional Dr. Tahera Nazrin, Senior Consultant and Coordinator of Clinical & Interventional Paediatric Cardiology; and Founder of the Paediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospitals, Bangladesh (Dhaka & Chattogram), she provided outdoor health care to more than 100 children with heart disease free of cost throughout the day and performed 2D and Color Doppler Echocardiography. Dr. Sohail Ahmed, Senior Consultant, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Department, Evercare Hospitals, Bangladesh (Dhaka & Chattogram) was also present and consulted patients regarding surgical intervention. The camp was inaugurated by the Civil Surgeon of Narsingdi district, Dr. Syed Amirul Haque. Dr. Khan Nooruddin Md. Jahangir, Upazila Health & Family Planning Officer, Raipura, Narsingdi; Abu Tarik M.A. Al- Hussain, Ex. Upazila Chairman, Bhaterchar, Belabo, Narsingdi; and doctors of Paediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospital Dhaka along with other Eminent personalities were also in attendance.

As part of this commitment, the pediatric cardiology department arranged this free medical health camp to ensure children receive proper cardiac treatment. One of the key highlights of the event was the Paediatric Echocardiography Test, conducted to diagnose and evaluate paediatric cardiac conditions using world class machines. Additionally, assistance was provided for doctor appointments, pre-admission support, and patient shifting for advanced treatment at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. The Paediatric Cardiology Department provides free devices, balloons, and essential medical advice to ensure children receive proper cardiac treatment for congenital heart diseases. 

Clinical and Interventional Paediatric Cardiologist Dr. Tahera Nazrin said, "The incidents of congenital heart disease in the general population are about 8-12 of thousand life births globally. In our country, the treatment of congenital heart disease is insufficient compared to the need. The Pediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospital is tirelessly providing medical care to children of all backgrounds suffering from heart disease. This department is especially committed to providing world-class services free of charge to underprivileged children.
