Stomach cancer surgery through laparoscopic technique, without opening the abdomen

Mrs. Soma began experiencing unusual pain in the right side of her abdomen shortly before last Ramadan. Initially, under the supervision of an internal medicine doctor, she underwent blood tests, an ultrasonography, and an endoscopy. As the test results were not satisfactory, she consulted an oncologist and received chemotherapy. She later came to Evercare Hospital Dhaka, where her treatment began under the care of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Farid Hossein, Senior Consultant in the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery. Her surgery was successfully performed using the laparoscopic approach. The patient is currently doing well.
