Evercare Hospital Chattogram, one of the country’s largest multispecialty tertiary care hospitals, organised a workshop today with local media personnel. On the occasion, leading consultants from the hospital shared about the clinical services & facilities available at the hospital, the capabilities of the medical team and recent positive medical outcomes achieved.
The hospital has been a blessing for patients living in and around Chattogram and it has fully commenced its activities. Within such a short period of time, the hospital has successfully provided medical services to patients. Besides conducting complex surgeries, Evercare Hospital Chattogram is also providing services to COVID-19 patients. The official inauguration of the hospital was postponed due to the lockdown, and is scheduled later this month.
At the event, Dr Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius (Senior Consultant, Interventional Cardiology), shared regarding the medical experience and successful treatment of a patient named Badiul Alam, a diabetic who was admitted to Evercare Hospital with severe chest pain.
After carrying out an angiogram, Dr Illius found that the patient’s main blood vessel had 3 complex blocks, one of which was around 90-95%, another one was 90% and the last one was 99%. The patient’s heart pumping rate (efficiency) was only 30%. Coronary testing of such a complex patient was done swiftly in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab in collaboration with our skilled cardiac team under the supervision Dr Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius.
