• Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Azim Chowdhury is a dedicated neurologist with wide training and clinical experience in both Bangladesh and the United Kingdom. He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and earned his MD in Neurology from Bangladesh Medical University, Dhaka.
• Before joining Evercare Hospital Chattogram, Dr. Chowdhury served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Marine City Medical College, Chittagong. From the early stages of his career, he has been deeply committed to Clinical Medicine, guided by a strong passion for advancing patient-centered neurological care.
• He has undergone structured medical training and served in different capacities in several respected institutions, namely Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Queen Alexandra Hospital (Portsmouth, UK), Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, Square Hospitals Ltd., Bangladesh Medical University Hospital, and Chittagong Medical College Hospital. These opportunities provided him with broad experience in Acute Medicine and consistent hands-on expertise in managing neurological emergencies.
• Dr. Azim Chowdhury has special interest in updated management of stroke, epilepsy, acute and chronic neuropathies, and neurodegenerative disorders. He aims to further enhance his expertise through a future fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology.
• He has participated in multiple
long-duration national workshops on clinical epilepsy, EEG interpretation,
Parkinsonism, and movement disorders, gaining essential hands-on skills. His
research contributions include original studies comparing coma scales and
co-authored works on stroke scales, published in reputed journals such as the
Journal of Neuroscience of Bangladesh Medical University.
