Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Azim Chowdhury Joins Evercare Hospital Chattogram

Evercare Hospital Chattogram is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Azim Chowdhury, MBBS, MD, as Attending Consultant, Neurology. Dr. Chowdhury brings with him extensive clinical training, international exposure, and a deep commitment to advancing neurological care for patients in Bangladesh.

Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Azim Chowdhury completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and later earned his MD in Neurology from Bangladesh Medical University, Dhaka. His medical journey reflects a strong foundation in both clinical practice and academic excellence. Prior to joining Evercare Hospital Chattogram, he served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Marine City Medical College, where he played an active role in teaching, mentoring, and delivering high-quality neurological care.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Azim Chowdhury has received structured, hands on training across several prestigious institutions, including Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, UK, Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, Square Hospitals Ltd., Bangladesh Medical University and Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Through these diverse roles, he gained broad experience in Acute Medicine and developed robust skills in managing complex neurological emergencies.

His clinical interests include updated and evidence-based management of stroke, epilepsy, acute and chronic neuropathies and neurodegenerative disorders. He has actively participated in numerous national workshops focused on clinical epilepsy, EEG interpretation, Parkinsonism and movement disorders, strengthening his diagnostic and procedural competencies. His research contributions include original studies on coma scale comparisons and co-authored works on stroke scales, published in reputable journals such as the Journal of Neuroscience of Bangladesh Medical University.
