Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury Joins Evercare Hospital Chattogram as Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement Surgery

Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury (MBBS, MS in Orthopaedics) as Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement Surgery. His appointment further reinforces the hospital's commitment to delivering world-class orthopaedic, joint replacement, and trauma care to patients across Chattogram and beyond.

Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of extensive clinical, academic, and surgical experience in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Prior to joining Evercare Hospital Chattogram, he served as Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology at Chattogram Medical College, where he held several key academic and clinical positions throughout his career, progressing from Registrar to Associate Professor before assuming the role of Department Head.

He obtained his MBBS degree from Chattogram Medical College and completed his MS in Orthopaedics from the University of Chittagong. To further enhance his expertise, he received advanced orthopaedic training in New Delhi, India, and Malaysia. He has also successfully completed specialized training under the AO Alliance in Arthroplasty, Foot & Ankle Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Pelvic-Acetabular Surgery.

Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury possesses extensive expertise in Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery, Hand Surgery, Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery, and Complex Trauma Management. His special clinical interests include the management of Scaphoid Fractures, Calcaneal (Heel Bone) Fractures, Complex Elbow Fractures, and Radial Head Replacement Surgery.

Alongside his clinical practice, Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury has made significant contributions to medical education and research. He has published 10 research papers in nationally and internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. He has also played a vital role in training undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, supervising academic research, and serving as an examiner for university-level orthopaedic examinations.

Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is a Life Member of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society (BOS) and a Member of the Bangladesh Society of Surgeons of Hand (BDSSH).
