Medical Camp of Evercare Hospital Dhaka Held in Ashulia Women and Children Hospital

[Ashulia, April 25, 2025] - Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the first JCI-accredited hospital in the country, conducted a medical camp to provide life saving cardiac treatment to paediatric patients of Ashulia, Savar and nearby areas. The medical camp was held at Ashulia Women and Children Hospital (AWCH), Jamgora, Ashulia from 8 am to 5 pm on Friday, 25 April 2025. This initiative is a part of Evercare Hospital Dhaka's commitment to ensuring world-class medical care to children in need.

The medical camp was led by the esteemed medical professional Dr. Tahera Nazrin, Senior Consultant and Coordinator of Clinical & Interventional Paediatric Cardiology; and Founder of the Paediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospitals, Bangladesh (Dhaka & Chattogram). She provided free consultation to children with heart disease throughout the day and performed 2D and Color Doppler Echocardiography at subsidized price. Prof. Dr. Soofia Khatoon, Academic Director and Head of Paediatrics Department, AWCH is the principal dreamer and prime initiator of this awareness medical camp. Dr. Dabir Uddin Ahmed (CEO), Brig Gen Retd. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam (Director of Medical Services), Md. Rafiqul Islam (Director of Operations), and other eminent persons of AWCH attended the event. Ashulia Women and Children Hospital is a non-profit philanthropic hospital which provides quality medical care to the poor and underprivileged women and children.

One of the key highlights of the event was the Paediatric Echocardiography Test, conducted to diagnose and evaluate paediatric cardiac conditions using world class machines at a subsidized price. Additionally, assistance was provided for doctor appointments, pre-admission support, and patient shifting for advanced treatment at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. The Paediatric Cardiology Department provides free devices, balloons, and essential medical advice to ensure children receive proper cardiac treatment for congenital heart diseases.

Clinical and Interventional Paediatric Cardiologist Dr. Tahera Nazrin said, "In our country, the incidence of child heart disease is increasing day by day, the main victims of which are underprivileged children. Children are suffering from heart disease due to poor living conditions, lack of quality medical care for their mothers, lack of awareness about child heart disease, and financial crisis.
