Dr. Fahmida Akhter completed her MBBS from Chittagong Medical College, followed by FCPS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and
Surgeons. She is currently pursuing MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from CMCH.
Before joining Evercare Hospital Chattogram, Dr. Akhter served as a consultant at Apollo Imperial Hospitals, Chattogram. She also held the position of Medical Officer at
RMC, Uttara, Dhaka, IDF, and Chattogram MA-O-Sishu Hospital Medical College. Additionally, she served as a Senior Medical Officer at Chattogram International Medical
College.
Dr. Akhter has extensive experience in various areas of obstetrics and gynaecology, including high-risk pregnancy management, laparoscopic surgeries, normal and caesarean
deliveries, infertility treatment, and gynaecological surgeries. She is skilled in performing both obstetric and gynaecological ultrasounds, as well as various
interventional procedures such as pap smears, Implanon insertion/removal, and saline infusion sonography.
Dr. Akhter has participated in numerous training programs and workshops, focusing on areas such as high-risk pregnancy, infertility, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and
life-saving skills. She has also been involved in academic activities, including departmental CME activities, caesarean and perinatal mortality audits, and organizing
committee memberships.
Dr. Akhter is a member of the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) with registration number A-40383.
