Dr. Shams Munwar graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1985. After completing his internship, Dr. Munwar left for the United Kingdom for higher medical training. In the UK, Dr. Munwar worked in the National Health Service from 1988 to 1995. In 1992, Dr. Munwar obtained his membership from the Royal College of Physicians of UK (MRCP). He started his career in Cardiology from 1992. While doing his fellowship in 1995 under Professor Celia Oakley at the Hammersmith Hospital, London, Dr. Munwar obtained Diploma in Cardiology from the University of London. He did his Interventional Fellowship from Wentworth Hospital in Durban, under University of Natal in the Republic of South Africa. He obtained FRCP from London, UK in July, 2010. Dr. Shams Munwar has over 14 years experience in the field of Cardiology. Before joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, he was working as Head of the Department of Cardiology at Z.H. Sikder Women's Medical College.
