Chowdhury, Coordinator & Senior Consultant of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, emphasized the importance of regular screenings and lifestyle modifications in preventing colorectal cancer and explained “As gastroenterologists, we play a crucial role in both prevention and management of colorectal cancer. Screening tests can detect precancerous polyps early, offering a chance for intervention before cancer develops” he also said,” In the battle against colorectal cancer, awareness is our greatest ally. Let us remember that knowledge is the cornerstone of prevention. Together, let’s spread awareness, dispel myths, and encourage proactive screening. By working hand in hand, we can create a future where colorectal cancer is no longer a formidable threat.”
