- Dr Ali Asgar Chowdhury is a renowned Clinical Oncologist. He completed fellowship (FCPS) in July 2011. He has been working in the field of oncology in various capacities since 2006. With background knowledge of internal medicine, clinical transfusion medicine and general practice, he has adopted patient friendly approach in treating cancer patients. He has been relentless in pursuing further knowledge for enriching himself. He completed courses on medical Oncology (ASCO UNIVERSITY-2019) & Comprehensive Oncology Assessment ( ASCO e-learning, 2021). He received advanced training in brachytherapy in India. He attended several educational activities in home and abroad. He completed numerous online educational activities to keep him updated. He has a fellowship in Cancer genetic testing and genetic counselling. He is a member of different national and international organisations-BCS(Bangladesh Cancer Society),BSRO (Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncology),ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology), ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology),ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology), SITC (Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer),ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology ), IASLC (International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer).
- He has several national and international Publications to his credit. He is a clinical researcher also, involves in several ongoing research activities. He never forgets his social responsibilities, regularly writes up in different platform to create cancer awareness and to strengthen the fight against cancer. His aim is to establish a cancer family clinic, not only to treat the cancer patients but also to help family members to keep them risk-free. His dream is to provide quality precision treatments at an affordable price to cancer patients in Bangladesh.
